The Flood Watch continues for * Portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, and WESTERN ARKANSAS, including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Conway, Pope, and Yell. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy, Sharp, Stone, and Van Buren. In WESTERN ARKANSAS, Johnson, Logan, and Scott. * Through Saturday evening * Heavy rain fell across much of the northern and western portion of Arkansas...with 2 to locally more than 4 inches observed. Several more rounds of showers and thunderstorms are forecast through Saturday. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are forecast...with locally higher amounts possible. * Given the recent heavy rainfall...the ground has become saturated. As a result...the runoff potential has increased...resulting in an increased threat for flash and river flooding through Saturday.
