Today at 10:45 am there was a report of a gunshot near the Deer School Campus. The Newton County SO was contacted immediately and were on the scene within minutes. Officers investigated and found the shots were simply target practice and there was no danger to the school. Student and staff safety is our highest priory. Thank you to the NCSO for their timely response.

As Deer/Mt. Judea School District prepares for the 2020-2021 School Reopening, we are collecting data from parents to aid in the planning process. Tomorrow, July 15, a survey will be posted on our website and social media. Please complete this survey by July 22, 2020 to inform us of the type of learning you prefer for your child this fall.
